I am amazed that Pink Floyd played so close to home, and only once, on November 2, 1971 at the McCarter Theater. Finding your post is the big break in my research: an eye witness. To date, I have only ever found a few pieces from that show: two black-and-white photos of the band, two pre-show promotional posters from newspaper clippings it seems, the setlist, and that's it. I was wondering if you had any other information, eye witness accounts, stories, photos, recordings, or anything from that night. I would really appreciate it! Pink Floyd are the greatest and I am really enjoying exploring their early years. By the way, here is a link to the setlist and posters: https://www.concertarchives.org/concerts/pink-floyd-5d659aea-71e1-4062-be87-70c5f4e68573. I worked backstage for many of them.

One of the most interesting shows was the U.S. debut of Genesis (Phil Collins) - who dressed in makeup like Kiss at the time. Audience included lots of celebrities like David Bowie. My favorite shows included Bette Midler, Pink Floyd, Loggins and Messina, Beach Boys. Hot Tuna,Richie Havens, Taj Mahal, Seatrain, Country Joe and the Fish and many many others played there in the early 70'sJohn BLoomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01303487496479863258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5493557313410969282.post-68619797507673790782019-04-10T11:47:34.880-07:002019-04-10T11:47:34.880-07:00Ah - it was a handbill - 5.5" x 8.5" as ...Ah - it was a handbill - 5.5" x 8.5" as I noted in the file name. FYI, the newspaper wasn't the only publicity - there was also apparently a handbill (or perhaps poster size?), though possibly only one of them posted at the box office (for sale at Wolfgangs Vault many years ago):
http://www.deadlists.com/posters/1970s/19710417.htmlIMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00770956092269600588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5493557313410969282.post-78479228462260753722016-08-09T03:08:59.611-07:002016-08-09T03:08:59.611-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05386439821507410614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5493557313410969282.post-55300590426017920582016-04-01T07:09:47.582-07:002016-04-01T07:09:47.582-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11950089683984944839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5493557313410969282.post-10838034197035458622016-03-01T03:41:17.636-08:002016-03-01T03:41:17.636-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5493557313410969282.post-31017470919779627062015-09-20T22:35:58.082-07:002015-09-20T22:35:58.082-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14625287413297458232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5493557313410969282.post-21415756627597012262014-04-10T16:26:44.727-07:002014-04-10T16:26:44.727-07:00davmar, thanks for the link.
